There comes a time when an iPhone user like you or your friend wants to take a screen shot of the iPhone screen displayed. Suppose there is a setting screen on the iPhone that you want to show to your friend or brother but he is living in the U.S. and you are in Canada. Though you both have WhatsApp installed you don’t know how to share that particular setting?
Sure, yes, “there is an app for that“, like the ubiquitous catchphrase as Apple famously trademarked!
But are you really thinking of installing an app for this? Wait a minute, you can do that without installing any app!
How to do a screen shot on iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch:
- Press the ‘Home‘ button and the ‘sleep‘ button of your iPhone/iPad/iPod simultaneously for 3 to 4 seconds, at the same time – even if one button is pressed late or early, then this action doesn’t work.
- Keep on pressing until you see a quick blinking of your screen, which signifies that the screenshot is taken. If your volume is up, you can also hear a small click sound that’s music to ears. Apple indeed has a way to create sounds that’s unique to Apple, isn’t it?!
- Check your Photos folder to view the captured screen shot. That’s where it gets saved.
This technique works the same way to take iPad screen captures as well as for iPod Touch screen captures.
