How to Disable Text Selection in Blogger

If you are obsessed with protecting your content from people who copy and paste/post as their own writing, then you can disable text selection on your blog.

Related: Learn how to disable right-click option for your blog here.

The following code not only disables text selection but also disables Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V keyboard shortcuts while browsing your content on the blog.

Paste the above code in the Layout section of your Blogger blog, by adding an HTML/JavaScript gadget. Here’s a screenshot:

That’s all – now test selecting text on your blog.

Add ‘Made With Love’ to Footer on any WordPress Website (without plug-ins)

It’s a very simple process.

By the way, before editing any code files, I suggest please first take a backup of your website.

Two methods

There are two ways to add the ‘made with love’ with a heart icon to your footer:

Use inline CSS code for styling
Use a Unicode heart icon (no code at all!)

Where to place the line of code?

WordPress > Appearance > Theme Editor > Theme Footer (footer.php).

Comment out the section that has your current footer text in the footer.php file by adding <!– and –>, before and after the <a href>, </a> block respectively.

1. Using Inline CSS Code

The first option is to write the phrase using inline CSS styles – just copy and paste this code on to your footer:

Remember to customize the text in the above code to change the country, and suit your needs. You can also change the font size of the heart too.

2. Using a Unicode Heart Icon

This is just a sentence for you to simply copy and paste directly to your footer.php. Note that the heart icon is in Unicode format.

That’s it, you will now have successfully added some more love to your WordPress website!

After having spent so much time designing and crafting your form, I can understand your pain of not having converted your visitors into buyers.

Fortunately, we have a solution! Enter Form Abandonment Addon for WPForms (opens in a new tab).

By the way, if you haven’t already installed WPForms, this is the time to do it because it has everything that you can think of when adding forms to be filled by your visitors. I don’t see any reason why not to use it.

I have been using WPForms on almost all my websites and blogs in addition to experimenting with Contact Form 7 currently on this blog.

I have experienced WPForm’s intuitive, clutter-free, simple to use interface which has an easy drag and drop objects to customize the forms.

With WPForms, comes the Form Abandonment add-on, which can help you leverage and take advantage of your visitors who leave half-way while completing the forms on your website.

Here’s how it works:

Within your WordPress dashboard, click on Add-ons under the WPForms section.

Search for the Form Abandonment Add-on and install it.

Once activated, you will find that add-on under your form settings while customizing your form. After that, you could easily add your permalink and embed this form code wherever you want.

Once set up, you will start seeing a new column that shows if your users have abandoned your form and can thus follow up with their details, or even offer an upfront discount so they can continue to leverage what you have to offer.

This is certainly a win-win for both your customer as well as your business!

How to Embed a YouTube Video in WordPress Blog

If you ever want to embed a YouTube video within your blog post, just follow along with this blog post.

It’s an easy thing to do and just takes less than a minute to accomplish!

Steps to embed a YouTube video

Go to the video that you want to embed.
Click on the ‘Share’ button

Select ‘Embed’ and copy the HTML code that’s given there

Now get back to your blog/website and just paste the code (in your HTML view/Raw view – not directly where you write the blog post because we don’t want to have any formatting done to the code.
Important: now this step is vital for your video to show up without any issues. After pasting the iframe code, between the two <iframe> tags, type something (I usually type “video” – without the quotes, of course). This is important or the video might not show up sometimes.

That’s all. This is how you embed a YouTube video within your blog post!
